"Natural Blues" is a hauntingly beautiful electronic track by Moby. Featured on his critically acclaimed 1999 album "Play", the song incorporates a soulful vocal sample from Vera Hall's 1937 folk recording "Trouble So Hard". Known for its melancholic undertones, "Natural Blues" became a global hit.
For #BandcampFriday three more purchases, including my 1st #vinyl purchase from them, the Shadows of Tomorrow 12" by Mats Gustafsson & Joachim Nordwall.
Somatic Suspension by Hara Alonso is exquisitely beautiful, and Modulisme Session 084 is a two-hour celebration of everything Serge.
It's another #BandcampFriday and tbh times are tough, so support is hugely appreciated. This is the latest full-length from my project Fugue State, which @yoniden described as "A beautiful collection of dark cosmic synthesizer music."
And if you're feeling the squeeze too, please feel free to check out my #Faircamp link in the next post, where everything is pay-what-you-can.
@lehto's new single is an ethereal lullaby consisting of beautiful Rhodes and piano lines, some electric guitars and the calming voice of Emily @socool to lull young and old to sleep.
Good morning,
today a new track has been released that is a bit different.
'Flowers Grow From Rain' is a little calming lullaby, made out of Rhodes, Piano and Guitar bits & I've teamed up again with the wonderful @socool for this, who has lend the track her voice. We hope you enjoy our little track!
I'm really excited for you all to hear this wonderful song! I had the honour of lending my voice to this gorgeous ambient lullaby and it's really something special ♥️
If you're not into a lot of work but want the maximum sound, today I'll show you how, with just a few tweaks and free plugins, you can create awesome '90s vibe pad sounds for atmospherics.
And now for something completely different. This Friday we release @lehto's new single, an ethereal lullaby consisting of beautiful Rhodes and Piano lines, some electric guitars and the calming voice of Emily @socool to lull young and old to sleep.
Canberk Ulaş' new LP is a thing of ambient beauty. He's an accomplished duduk player, & aided by some fine, ethereally like minded collaborators, he nudges the instrument towards fresh electronically augmented possibility, whilst respecting it's ancient Armenian, folkloric & classical roots. It really is a lovely, evocative, calmative & eminently Sunday suitable listen.
In the video, I use the free plugin PaulXStretch 23 times. In each instance, I've recorded one note and a unique sound from the Korg Triton. Each instance also has a different recording length, different panning and stretches the sample differently. It's always great to see and hear how you can create soundscapes with such simple workflows.
I bookmarked this artist years ago simply because my doggo’s name is also Kira, and because they’re from Iceland. New album dropped and I’m very glad I bookmarked them, lovely music for when I don’t want to leave bed just yet on a Saturday.
I decided to try going big with some 3d textured cubes.
Was happy that I got the basics up in a super efficient first 10 minutes, but I stumbled on (1) which vertices made faces (2) getting the UVs the right way round and (3) making TTRI respect the z coords I was sending in, so... I just threw enough colours at it to hide my sins.
@jtruk@FieldFX got in a similar pickle doing a rotating cube thing during Genuary, hid the sins by making it all monochrome :D polished it up to send for Mountain Bytes today though! #ambient#cubes
I wouldn't expect much other than very sad AI generated drone music out of me currently, although I may be forced to re-engage with the crypto art scene to try to raise funds.
By popular request (me) here is one more clip from my latest song, a “post rock ambient delight” according to critics (me) :blobcatcoffee:
I aimed to create the windy howls of rocky places like the Grand Canyon or somewhere in Utah by manipulating sounds in Hypha, Piano Colors, and Noire piano from NI. No loops. Nimona (Charvel pro mod 24 DK) is set up with some compression, a spreader, silver and chromaverb, and a multi spread time delay (studio and tape). #guitar#ambient#PostRock#music
Victoi Film is an imaginary movie: a tale soaring cityscape's silent anarchy, like a desolate dusty Dhalgren at sunrise, moving deeply over steppes unto the edge where the building lights are a jeweled curtain of stars...
