I'm in Discord. I scroll to the bottom of the channel. I want to say something.
Discord pops up a growth hacking "done reading? Read this other channel" box. I cannot dismiss it. Even tapping the box then returning to the channel does not dismiss it.
It is totally covering the post box. I cannot speak.
I check Reddit. I find posts encountering this a full year ago, and the only advice is to log out of discord and back in. Some people had to do it multiple times.
@mcc The "Done Reading" is a bit of a red herring - I've only ever seen that in channels I don't have permission to post, like #announcements for some company.
So it's likely the real problem is Discord thinks you're not allowed to post there, vs. some UI mistake
It's Speculative Fiction Saturday - authors, pop in and tell us about your latest success. New book or short story coming out? Let us know. Just sell something? Let us know so we can cheer you on!
HOW IT WORKS:
—Post your announcement as a separate post so we can comment on it directly
—Check out the other posts and congratulate and share them too!

The Manager does a reasonable job identifying patches available for a given version. The Issues page on GitHub has a lot of the bugs laid out. The Releases tab also has the update notes and the website has the patch notes (including required version).
On the Discord, #announcements has the major update info. #support acts quite a lot like the old Reddit page where people post issues they’ve run into with threaded replies. I agree having a ReVanced Lemmy page would be better than Discord but Discord Posts are shockingly usable imo. Chat and Off-Topic are obviously horrifically unsearchable chatrooms but also aren’t the only resources on the server.
