Hello,

This 41 year old video is the oldest known footage of Slayer, and it proves they were brilliant from the start
Watch a pre-fame Slayer play a show in Anaheim, California several months before debut album Show No Mercy came out

TI-99/4A Update: The audio is now working via the OSSC & I can now record it via OBS using a capture card.

This video is of the demo titled Don't Mess With Texas

NB: This is real hardware, no emulators involved!

TI-99/4A
PEB with 32K ram expansion
FinalGrom99 with the ROM image installed.

Now I need to figure out why the capture card works on Linux but not on the Mac I use for video work 🤔

Ok, solved the OBS capture issue with Macs.

The capture card is an Elgato HD60 X. Now this works fine on Linux with OBS but on the Mac it just showed an error screen in the video saying it couldn't upscale the image.

Finally figured it out. On Linux it was on a USB3 port.

On the M1 Mac Studio one of the USB C ports. Connected it to a USB 3 port on the back and the bloody thing just worked!

Finally the TI's output is now showing on the ATEM.

In typical #Blackmagic fashion, the Proxy Generator sounds great but in practice it's so limited and badly designed, it's just not viable. You can't set target folders. When anything goes wrong, it just WON'T tell you what. A complete failure of an app.

Here's a neat trick for SWD/JTAG-debugging boards that use scary voltages, when you're afraid of toasting your computer: Some wonderful person on github has ported the #blackmagic firmware to those dirt cheap ESP8266 wifi modules (the cheaper old generation), so you can just plonk down an ESP-01 footprint and your target shows up on your wifi with a GDB remote exposed on a TCP port.

It's hacky as hell, but I got it to build for a stock 1MB flash module.

#BlackMagic is such a visionary company not just in their products but also in the way they treat their customers. I’m really glad to be in their ecosystem which usually means getting great value for a huge new set of features instead of getting shafted for an incremental upgrade like most years with apple.

Cool story #blackmagic proxy generator, care to tell me WHY YOU FAILED?

EDIT: jesus christ, you can't select where the proxies go. it always goes to the source drive. Is Blackmagic for real? This is so typical.

is like , but better in the video production space. It has the seductive integrated ecosystem that is hard to leave (from camera to switchers to Resolve and a lot more) but focused on making video production accessible at a very attractive price point.
