#VisibleMending is not only for #clothes. This #colourful#handbag with abstract roses helped me against dark winter days. Suddenly I discovered this terrible hole and decided to mend it. It was not easy to find the fabric (more in the Alt texts) but I saved my handbag! 😊 And now it's a unique piece of individual design! @visiblemending@sewing
🧵 1/ My new #VisibleMending project: This linen-yarn T-shirt is a memento of my dog, who once got stuck at the bottom with his claw and tore a hole. It's darned in the shape of a yellow beetle. To make the whole thing more harmonious, I'm going to do a few small appliqués elsewhere today. @visiblemending
🧵2/ Process of "harmonising" a T-Shirt that had a very flashy #VisibleMending with an embroidered beetle. There are no holes under the appliqués, they are used to create the overall look. Next comes a vertical appliqué from the right edge of the collar. @visiblemending@fibrearts
In our Sunday animations in the #culturalHeritage centre, I finished my #visibleMending project: a #secondHand jacket with a completely scuffed collar. For a better look I fixed 2 more patches. All people were very curious. Then the reactions:
⭕️ I would never dare to wear s'th with patches.
⭕️ I never had the time (but they have time for TV, social media etc.) @visiblemending@sewing
Do you remember my #VisibleMending project with a second hand #blazer? https://mastodon.online/@NatureMC/111884442223704931 The collar with a suede imitation was completely worn out. For contrast, I choose a chicken print from the Provence, and for harmony, more patches. It's nearly ready. Problem: the remaining collar tips are unequal. I decided to applicate different motives on them to conceal it. @visiblemending@sewing
1/2 Tomorrow our embroidery club is meeting again and I'm utterly empty of ideas for new art. Time for a piece that I don't have to think much about and that has been lying around unfinished since last year.😏 Haut Couture with a cashmere blazer for 5 E from the second-hand shop and #VisibleMending in contrast. @textilearts@embroidery@sewing
