TFW you're so close to having something working, but it's not. You have a thousand tabs open with man pages, forums and SO but can't quite get it over the line. Anyone running #FreeBSD with a #samba share in a jail, and know why I can /see/ it on the network, but can't access it as a guest?

Hey #FreeBSD peeps,

I'm trying to figure out what GELI stands for. (Just because it's such a cute name, I guess? lol)

I've deduced that it's GEOM_ELI (https://man.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=geli&apropos=0&sektion=0&manpath=FreeBSD+14.1-RELEASE+and+Ports&arch=default&format=html), but what's ELI?

(Also, I kinda wish #BSD had man -K (full text search). I need to write a todo to make my own implementation)

New(-to-me) laptop is in!

Also, I've been experimenting a bit with #NomadBSD lately. It's not quite as polished as a Linux distro, but it's mighty nice! (Persistent #FreeBSD-based boot USB image, can do UFS or ZFS and optionally encrypt)
