Hopefully it costs them dearly. Kinda like the whole Tumblr censorship fiasco and drastic fall in value but before they sell it. Put #FuckSpez in the poor house
#fuckspez
a telltale sign that #reddit is gearing up for its #ipo is that if you're signed out and click "log in" now, it defaults to a registration form instead of a log in form. they're hoping people forget what's going on and just create a new account rather than taking the time to find the small "log in" text hidden at the bottom. gotta boost those user numbers for the #investors!
I moved from #reddit over to #lemmy last week... Much like I said here when I first got this account... it very much feels like the early internet.
Know what else it made me realize?
Redditors are fucking ASSHOLES.
I think I shall stay here and Lemmy, where true conversations can be had as opposed to snarky responses to... literally everything... for no good goddamn reason.
As the title says, Reddit replied to my GDPR request to delete all my data saying I had to do it first, which I suspect is in violation of GDPR law....
Well, looks like Reddit pulled the plug a little early. Apollo started crashing, but I just manually revoked my token and it looks like it fixes the crashing, but no more Reddit access haha. Those folks are fun to the very end! 😛
@christianselig I just deleted my 12 year old Reddit account. Thank you for creating a very excellent app. I look forward to seeing what you do next. #FuckSpez
Hi all, just logged in with an alt and noticed that all of the posts I had removed from my subreddit were restored. To the two existing mods, they all appeared removed. We had to add a third mod to re-remove the posts....
LOL, I just checked in to #reddit because it's been a while and I was curious. Every third post in my feed was a #nsfw of boobs, butts or some such filth - mostly from typically safe subs...the mods have spoken! If you want moderation and curation of content you have to work for it you can not just demand it as your rightful product.
Who would ever invest in a company that is repeatedly, actively fucking over their content creators? What value does such a service have? Why would you invest in a company whose CEO said, days ago, that it "is not profitable"?
Feeling the lack of moderation now Reddit? (lemm.ee)

Help me Kbin-wan-kenobi. You're my only hope. Or...how can we end the enshittification of the World?
I want to like Kbin. I really do. But it's just not the same. There are no apps. The format is not reader-friendly. Usability is way low....
OC For those in the know about privacy laws and the such. What is a proper response to reddit's claim that they cannot remove all the information associated to an account without first the user removing all of their posts?
As the title says, Reddit replied to my GDPR request to delete all my data saying I had to do it first, which I suspect is in violation of GDPR law....
Just reddit things -.-
Admins restoring removed posts and blocking mod's ability to see them.

The only thing left for me to do on reddit is comment "r/spezresign" on other critical subs, whenever they have a trending post. if you still have an account you might join as well 💪😤
I was wondering when they'd get round to the smaller subreddits
