I'm feeling really good about my new LED art project. This is a collab with my partner Allie who did the illustration/vectors for the cloud. It'll have LEDs going under both layers, and then white opaque vinyl on top to give it a crisp edge and hide the coroplast ribs.
Per usual, this was designed in #inkscape and the inner layers were computed from that using #OpenSCAD. #ledart
Decided to modify my existing USS Yeager corridor set (first image) to create a corridor for the USS Cerberus.
Still in progress, of course, but you can compare the first two images and see the different style I'm going for with this one. Besides adding more details, I've still got to replace the lift with a different style.
More progress on the Cerberus corridors. Added those weird light sconces the Enterprise-E corridors had (1st pic), added a large wall for an LCARS display and map of the ship (2nd pic), and added all the detailing on the inner wall segments (3rd pic).
Did a quick LCARS screen using existing elements for the Cerberus corridor.
I also did a new turbolift based on the USS Prometheus one (which was a redress of the Enterprise-D emergency turbolift, only seen in TNG twice). Might change it to something else, it's a bit on the small side.
Recreated the turbolift graphic from the Prometheus, but on the Cerberus colors for the lift. I also modeled the handrails and the remaining corridor panels.

Continuing my #3dprinting of the logos of my favorite teams, the next installment is the #Akron Rubber Ducks minor league baseball team. When I bought the hat last year, I knew I needed to do something with the logo because it really pops.
I fired up #inkscape to make a SVG and #freecad to make the model from that SVG. It took a little planning on the heights for the different colors since I only have one extruder. Turned out great!
As both a #crew96 fan, and a #ClevelandGuardians fan, I was inspired by the print linked below to create my own sign to show my support for the Crew on my desk at my office at work.
So, I fired up #inkscape to make the SVG, and then #freecad to create the 3d model that I then 3D printed. I printed the yellow part separate and glued it in.
