Continuing my of the logos of my favorite teams, the next installment is the Rubber Ducks minor league baseball team. When I bought the hat last year, I knew I needed to do something with the logo because it really pops.

I fired up to make a SVG and to make the model from that SVG. It took a little planning on the heights for the different colors since I only have one extruder. Turned out great!

As both a fan, and a fan, I was inspired by the print linked below to create my own sign to show my support for the Crew on my desk at my office at work.

https://www.printables.com/model/155492-cleveland-guardians-logo

So, I fired up to make the SVG, and then to create the 3d model that I then 3D printed. I printed the yellow part separate and glued it in.

So glad to have such great tools to make ideas reality. Can’t forget and .

@rdh Indeed, it is important to not confuse with Wacom InkSpace.

https://inkscape.org/ru/gallery/

So, @inkscape, we need to make an amendment on one of your about pages to never mention "InkSpace" and instead just call it Gallery.

Out of a whim, I decided to get my 10 year old 13HD Companion Hybrid out of storage. no longer supports this model, but I got it to run with their oldest driver that supports Windows 11.

I'm not sure what I will use it for, but it was fun trying out the different brushes with . These days I use for most of my graphical design work, but it's nice to have options.

Lovely #inkscape people, I'm looking to do the following:

via cli ask inkscape to export every object and/or group in an svg file and output as a PNG.

This link seems to have some answers, but I'm not at all clear about how I might get a list of objects or groups via the command line? Is this possible?

Attention testers. While we wait for an actual alpha release, you can use the downloads which I've just fixed the links for here: https://inkscape.org/release/inkscape-1.4.x/

I recommend using the AppImage if you're on and the dmg/7z files should be fairly straightforward for other operating systems.

Oh, and thanks, user is still the main way Inkscape finds bugs before releases while we work on building our test suites. ❤️

I've started reading the tutorials for Inkscape and I am delighted. It has a well-thought-out conceptual model, a clean and powerful interface, and attention to keyboard accessibility.

The one thing I can't seem to find is documentation on the connection point tool. Where is it? How do I add connection points so arrows attach to the edges of objects instead of their centers?

So, I don't really do online subscriptions. But since @bitwarden is FOSS and has a real cheap pro account option, I pay for that, even though I never use the pro features.

I try to donate a bit to other FOSS stuff too, but not nearly as regularly, even though I know it's possible to set up auto donations.

I was wondering, could other FOSS stuff use this same model, would it be easier to give regularly if it was framed as an account or membership or something?

@forteller@tutoteket.no avatar

Like, would you be more likely to sign up for a "pro account" or a membership or something like that for for example , , , , , or any other FOSS tool you use regularly, than you are likely to set up an automatic recurring donation – even if the status didn't actually come with any extra features or perks of any kind, other than being a member and supporting something you love?

If you found the price reasonable.

So it's finally happened. I'm tired of ☠️-ing Adobe software. With its shift to AI and other dubious practices I'm finally switching to alternatives.
For photoshop I'm using ; Illustrator, , tho now I'm looking for an indesign alternative. So far seems the most popular. And I might have to get a free trial of indesign to export my existing books into XML format 🙃
Anyone know any other alternatives?

Bug accelerator program starts today for me. That's where the Inkscape project pays some of the maintainers to focus time on fixing bugs for the next release. (Tav, me and Vaibhav this release) 🎉

If you do testing for Inkscape, make sure your issues are tagged (and tested against) for 1.4.x and prioritized. I'm only contracted to fix things in that list!
