Maybe this isn’t new, I don’t look at Apple’s App Store much. But having the Ivory mastodon client in the list of essential social apps seems pretty great.
I am having quality-of-life issues with Tooot and considering other potential iOS apps for using #Mastodon. Is subscribing to #Ivory worth it? What else do people suggest?
One big problem I have is that when I scroll down the timeline a certain amount everything starts jumping around and I lose my place.
I’m client hopping... #Ivory seems to be falling behind in features and it’s not cheap to boot
#mammoth has some interesting features like their lists and threading mode but their custom UI design with tiny navigational buttons is awful and implicit IMHO
#IceCubes seems fairly on par with Ivory, but it doesn’t have an inline emoji selector (neither does Mammoth actually)
Out of these only Mammoth plays animated avatars and emoji...
@ivory I'm sure this has been mentioned before. As an admin and user of #ivory, after I have suspended or silenced an account, the offending post(s) remain in Ivory's cache with seemingly no way to get rid of them beyond an entire account cache clear. Is there anything on the future roadmap to address this?
I can't effectively moderate for my community members using this app if Ivory continues to cache aggressively like this.
@MonaApp When can such a feature like #Ivory be added, so that when accidentally clicking on the top of the timeline, you can click again to return to the original reading position? #MonaApp
@dimillian Congratulations! I really like your latest updates and your new icon! I'm just curious what's the difference between the statistics-tab in #ivory and your „implementation“ of MastoMetrics? Isn't there a native Mastodon API or something like that?
Interestingly, #Ivory now has a new “Explore” tab which shows popular posts across many #Mastodon instances. Not so eager to read or follow random people, but still might be useful to someone!😉
how can i get a link to a toot that always gets opened in #ivory? (or whatever the default mastodon app is)
i'm viewing my streamlit mastodon client on my phone via tailscale, but all the links to the toot have different hosts, bc fediverse and all. is there a way to deal with that?
@ivory The new hashtag features in #Ivory would be much more useful if the app did not make all the #hashtags lowercase. That was common on the old bird place, but #CamelCase is more accessible to people using screen readers and the like. I'm not asking you to convert everything to camel case, but it would be helpful if the app paid attention to the actual hashtags I'm using.
