I have a life announcement! 📣

I’m going back to University! ( At 37! )

The program is self paced, online and all of my accessibility accommodations have been approved!

I’m excited to be able to take asynchronous courses in a supportive environment.

Day 1 is May 1st!
I’m studying Psychology & Philosophy.

I plan to attend Graduate School afterwards and become a Registered Psychologist in Alberta so I can do Autism assessments (and more), and provide a safe place for #LGBTQIA2S folks. 🏳️‍🌈

I get incredible satisfaction from making wifey and I latte's every day.

A couple of weeks ago I re-set up our espresso machine (I had been making pour-over coffees since the pandemic started) and the joy I get from pulling a perfect espresso shot on our manual machine, keeps me going.

I'm not a power but I do need to connect multiple accounts and have a unified inbox view at minimum.

I could care less about AI in my email or extensive rules etc...

My sweet (nearly) 18 year old cat came and sat beneath my feet today while I was eating ‘cronchies’ (aka goldfish).

This is her “pls can has one 4 me mom?” face. 🥰 I can’t even with how cute she is as a senior cat. And yes… she got the cronchie :)

She is an incredibly skilled English (ESL) tutor. Her students absolutely love the time they spend learning with her… and I enjoy being able to see her thrive doing something that brings her joy and purpose.

When I worked for Apple at the time of the launch of the iPhone…

I remember when they put a HUGE placard across the Genius Bar that said something like … “we will deactivate all service for your iPhone if we find you’ve downloaded 3rd party apps”

Yes. This happened. Many people don’t know or remember that Apple was vehemently against allowing 3rd party apps onto their precious new device.

Now look at the world of mobile apps.

Blows my mind, still to this day.
