Being single can be awful, but being with the wrong person can be far worse. Proverbs 21:9 puts it best:

#JordanPeterson hinted at a similar affect when he said "there's nothing worse at a deathbed than to see the people there fighting. The death is bad enough, but you can take that, as terrible as it is, and make it into something that's absolutely unbearable."
The idea that being with anyone makes your life better in all cases is a bit ridiculous, although I am sympathetic to it to some degree.
Interestingly enough, I didn't know you were 40. I was recently thinking that if I was a secular redpiller (not a #Christian), I'd recommend men start looking for women at around your age, as women have been told nowadays to focus on their careers, but this is around the time their biological clock starts ticking, and therefore when I would surmise that they're most likely to want to get into a committed relationship and have kids, if that's something they want to do.
