"Sweet Talkin' Woman" is a 1978 single by #ElectricLightOrchestra (ELO) from the album #OutOfTheBlue (1977). Its original title was "Dead End Street", but it was changed during recording. Some words that survived from that version can be heard in the opening of the third #verse, "I've been livin' on a dead end street". Er behielt recht, ich habe die damals rauf und runter gehört.
Plattenverkäufer. Die waren das, was heute "Wer X kauft, interessiert sich auch für Y" Algorithmen sind. Funktionierte damals noch etwas zuverlässiger, weil die "Algos" einem damals tatsächlich noch zuhörten.. 😄

Picked up this #LP of Elgar’s Enigma Variations (Andrew Litton, Royal Philharmonia Orchestra) for $2 yesterday. Decent condition, good performance, and can’t complain about the price!

"Turn to Stone" is a 1977 song by #ElectricLightOrchestra (ELO). The song is the opening track to the double album #OutOfTheBlue. It was the first song released as a single from the #LP. The single reached No. 18 in the United Kingdom charts and spent twelve weeks on the chart. Out of four singles from the album, "Turn to Stone" was the only song not to reach the top ten in the United Kingdom singles charts. 👀 LP has added 19 dates European to their Love Lines tour during February and March 2024. Including a date in London on the 22nd of March. I might arrange another trip to London for that.
I was booked to see LP in Toronto in November, but I cancelled my Toronto Trip.
