The monthly USA Here 'N' Now feature from from Sega Force 5 - May 1992 (UK)
I have to say that for some reason, I look forward to the new pictures from the moustached man every single issue. I don't know why, but he always cracks me up. I love this man. 😅
I don't have any real retro games I want to play enough to say get a hold of an emulator; I fully admit most games I played 10 hours a day in my youth (the 1980s) were shit. The oldest games might actually fancy to play still functions on Steam.
Of course there were good ones like Arkanoid, Uridium, Balder Dash, Tetris and a bit later Defender of the Crown and a few others, but most were played because they were the only game in town.
So, I have had a glorious moment of vindication for myself. Not only have I beaten #Alien3 on the #SNES, but I also got all the achievements for the game from Retroachievements.org, so the game is considered Mastered!
Honestly, the game was a really good challenge, I will definitely need to talk a little about this game on my channel, as there is a lot to talk about, and it certainly deserves a proper review in my opinion.
Despite being a movie tie-in game and a bit of a frustrating slog at times, it was actually really enjoyable and I can't put into words how happy I am with beating this game from my childhood!
Looking for Toshiba L50utils.exe - laptop pcmcia drivers for Windows 95. It is long gone from the Toshiba website. Anybody with a floppy with this on or know where to find a copy?
If you ever saw a pixel-perfect screenshot from a virtual machine running MS-DOS in the default VGA text mode, you probably noticed that it looks slightly off.
The characters are too wide, and the whole image seems stretched.
But did you know that what you’re seeing is a perfect representation of the actual image, while your monitor from 1995 was deceiving you? Let’s have a closer look.
While it's not quite the start of the weekend yet, I've lost way to much time by being sick these past couple of weeks, so I wanted to get a head start this time.
So what better way to do this than with a new magazine release.
GamesMaster 79 - March 1999 (UK) has just been added to the magazine catalogue.
Decided to pick up 2 ¥5000 PSN cards on Play-Asia last night and grab a bunch of PC-Engine and PSone games that I was still missing on my PS3.
I notice that certain games that I bought before seem to have been delisted over the years...
I was shocked that I didn't have Devil's Crush yet, despite having Alien Crush. No idea how that came to be.
Somehow my mind is having a ridiculously hard time making sense of the fact that the PS3 is nearly 20 years old. 💀
NES? Sure!
Sega Saturn? No problem!
I can easily and gladly place them in their own time zone.
But 20 years for the PS3. Yeah, this one kinda breaks me. 😱
