What do you think about my project ?

https://codeberg.org/hut/panban

It's a board for all kinds of data backends (hence the "pan").

Looks a bit like , but for multi-column todo lists.

You can currently use it for TODO entries, lists, files, and a read-only view on GitHub issues.

It's great in combo with [https://tasks.org].

Been using it a lot over the last 5 years, tho it's still experimental. Thinking of rewriting in .

PONOWNIE.

An update on the app I was making for managing format:

The app has option to enable autosave, and can also save if the user demands.
The projects and contexts of the tasks are displayed.
I have added a sidebar for filters "All Tasks" and "Due" though they do not work for now, as I have not yet implemented the logic.
Also, in large window sizes, the "new", "edit" and "delete" tasks buttons move into headerbar.

Here is the source: https://github.com/imhemish/kamm

Screenshot of app in small mobile-like size of the window
Screenshot of preferences window of app, showing the options "Autosave", "File" and an appearance option to vertically center align the tasks.

I (and ChatGPT) have written a script that exports tasks from MacOS’ Things 3 to Markdown and to todo.txt.

Soon, I'll post the script and a guide on https://plaintextjournal.com.

Let me know you if you’d like to be kept in the loop.

I am making a app to manage as per format (https://todotxt.org). Don't know when it will be completed (as it is my second time actually working on making a GTK4+Libadwaita app after giving it up once months ago).
I am using the latest by @flyingpimonster and the team for making this.
I am making this in , and aim it to be like QToDoTxt2 (https://github.com/QTodoTxt/QTodoTxt2).

Here is a little video attached showing my progress

In a fit of nostalgia, I've installed gForth on my Pixelbook for a little play and now have to think of something amusing to do with it. I last used on the Commodore VIC-20 in the 1980s and have forgotten everything beyond basic stack manipulation. I think having a crack at writing a clone of the CLI (http://todotxt.org/) might be good for a laugh.

vs. (Todo.TXT)

Sound off!

I've been using my own system which is mainly just $EDITOR and a script that takes out completed tasks every day by grepping out lines that begin with "X "
The problem is that it would be nice to just see a couple most important tasks at a time, instead of having a blood-chilling text file FULL of todo items in your face all day 😅

Today I managed to install and configure

  • my contacts (vdirsyncer + khard, formerly khal)
  • my calendar (calcurse + calcurse-caldav. Might switch to vdirsyncer)
  • my mail (offlineimap + neomutt)
  • my todo txt (todo.sh)

Not happy with saving credentials in plain text :-(

But I can look into Lua (conky and awesome WM widgets) next!
