Today in Labor History November 30, 1930: Mother Jones died, age 100, in Silver Spring, Maryland. She was an organizer or "walking delegate" for the United Mine Workers (UMW), famous for her bravado. When she and 3,000 women were released by a militia after being held all night in McAdoo, Pennsylvania, they marched straight to the hotel housing the soldiers and ate their breakfast. Even well into her 90s, she still roamed through the hills of West Virginia, encouraging miners to organize.

I exchanged messages last night with a lady adopted away at birth. She has already found her birth mother's family.

She did the test in October and uploaded the result to (I don't match her on but on Gedmatch we share 17cM on Chr 20).

She would like to identify her birth father but is struggling with the DNA information.

Can anyone knowledgeable help her, please?

(I made first contact then she came back with the above.)

I'm looking for just the right version/clip of a traditional Southern Thanksgiving dish to share. Haven't found it yet, but I've watched parts of 8 or so. All had thumbnails that looked promising, but a serious faux pas (equivalent to raisins in the potato salad) transpired in the preparation. I'm picky that way.
