My 17 year old cat has been on a ‘I’d rather die than eat poor quality food’ game with me for the past year. I think I’m winning, since she’s eating a lot now, but really she’s winning coz this week she’s had halibut and salmon and tuna (same stuff I eat but without salt). She’s a brat, but she reminds me of me.

History isnt neutral. "Socialism = communism = dictatorship" is a cold war era concept that a significant fraction of my generation still has.

true democracy is incompatible with a system based around and for the benefits of "normal" or privileged categories. Middle and upper class Abled cis wasp males to be exact. Those individuals gain material benefits at the expense of the majority people.

Cold war era propaganda that is used to PREVENT doing something about systemic racism and similar problems from ever being addressed. True equality TERRIFIES people used to privileged status.
The idea that

Capitalism = democracy
Commies = any dictatorship

Is a bit of propaganda that ENABLES the right to justify fascism in an attempt to maintain that privilege
i don't know that socialism can work. But honesty is required when discussing it.

Im pissed about several OTHER things the man did before he shut down the server this month. My .party account was made in response to him causing OTHER drama.
Specifically he defederated a server because he apparently had a personal tiff with someone on the server.

Why give Meta $12-$15 a month when you could pay only $1 to support my occasional jokes about how hilariously incompetent Meta is instead? Also, I post pictures of my cats. Just look at them. Mark Zuckerberg doesn't post pictures of cats. If anything, Zuckerberg eats cats. I have no proof of this but we all know it's true.
