    Just discovered that VS Code auto-imports of TypeScript types do not follow the recommendation to add the type keyword in front of it.

    This reminds me of something, what was it…? Oh yeah, it reminds me of every other complaint I've made about VS Code over the years.

    @zalasur thanks for that info and for the sensitivity to note that you aren't defending VS Code. Maybe you've followed me for long enough to know how hot under the collar I get about it 😄

    I need to write a blog post about it at some point; I'm noticing a pattern that I dislike VS Code, Bluetooth audio, video call virtual backgrounds, and automatic "goals" in apps like Books and Kindle for the same reasons!

    Network effect may be the reason that an open alternative to LinkedIn doesn't emerge. I don't care about seeing everyone's microblogs, but if I'm looking for a job or helping a friend get one, I want the biggest pool possible.

    @kiwa this reminds me of the day I bought windows 8, and I remembered I was out of CD-Rs for backing up documents so I grabbed a 100 pack, and then I walked up to a CompUSA associate and asked him if you could back up the windows 8 install disk on a CD-R, and he looked at me like "u freaking serious rn"

    What open git platform do folks recommend? I'm tired of us getting screwed over by tech giants so looking into moving off of GitHub. I'd considered GitLab in the past but I'm not a fan of their AI focus and transmitting data from self-hosted installations to Microsoft. What are folks' experience with codeberg?

    Flight delay due to a "seat duplication issue." I sure hope it's due to a confused person, but it's likely it's a software issue. It's difficult for me to imagine a reason they can't correctly write software that doesn't issue the same seat twice.
