Dracula Daily?
While browsing my local library's online items, I stumbled on this. I had never heard of Dracula daily - did anyone participate? What did you think? I expect it will take place this year..
Look, waffle house needs to get their asses in gear and expand. I lived in Nebraska. No Waffle House (one in Lincoln, other side of the state).
I lived in Minnesota. Not Waffle House. Now I live in Maine, No Waffle House.
Well, I went to my primary care doctor yesterday, and had a bunch of labs done.
In the words of my wife "They are disgustingly good". (She is jealous of my cholesterol reading).
My A1C is a bit high (I've had diabetes for a while) but just barely over what we want it.
Everything else checks out... the low side of normal.
Interesting!
Maine has a crazy number of fireflies compared to North Ga. In North GA, they are almost gone - or at least, not anywhere near the abundance of my youth.
Here there are more colors and more types than we ever had back in Georgia. I like this!
Ha! Love it! I'm watching a Youtube reaction video. It features 2 young women who've never seen the Terminator (and kudos to them for correcting the terrible life error this represents).
A comment they make about phone books "Isn't it so wild that it was a thing where you could get peoples addresses and phone numbers out of books just around town?"
Oh, if you go to youtube and search for "greyhound" zoomies dog park, its amusing. When a greyhound takes off, all the other dogs decide to chase it. And well..... the speed difference is amusing.
Trying to cut the circle there Bud? Let me put on a touch more speed.
the giant Bolverk tells Skafloc,... “Many heroes have owned this sword, because it brings victory to the wielder. There is naught on which it does not bite, nor does it ever grow dull of edge. Venom is in the steel, and the wounds it gives cannot be healed by leechcraft or magic or prayer. Yet this is the curse on it: that every time it is drawn it must drink blood, and that in the end, somehow, it brings the bane of him who uses it.”
Would an AM or FM radio station be easier to maintain in a Post Apocalyptic world? How much power would a decent size radio station take to operate? (Mainly the broadcasting tower).
Oh hey, the original Alien is coming back to Theaters for a run. Never seen it (I'll fix that this time around) but good gaming material to watch here.
My wife and I finally (finally!) had a conversation about my increasing memory loss. And growing signs of early dementia.
It's something I've been wanting to do for a couple of years. She is quite upset, but I made my peace with it a while ago. It's just getting impossible to ignore. #memory#alzheimers#dementia
