Prostaatkanker bijvoorbeeld komt ongeveer evenveel voor bij mannen als endometriose bij vrouwen. Uit Amerikaans onderzoek blijkt dat het budget voor onderzoek naar #prostaatkanker in 2019 maar liefst 20 keer groter was.
