Movie Trailers may have started out as a tool to sell films, but over time they have evolved into their own spectacle. Before a film is released there are a multitude of Theatrical Trailers, TV Spots, Web Shorts, and even Trailers before the Trailer starts. “Bazzite is a custom image of Fedora Atomic Linux 40, utilizing Universal Blue’s custom image framework designed to bring users the best in Linux gaming for their PCs, including the Steam Deck and other handhelds.”
I used to write personal GitHub gists in the 6 years I’ve been using Linux/Fedora. To share with others to tweak their Fedora installs for gaming. Don’t have to do that anymore!
I’m not familiar with pyo3_async, but I don’t think you can force Python asyncio to use the Tokio event loop. This is discussed in the documentation of a different PyO3 async crate, pyo3-asyblncio: docs.rs/pyo3-asyncio/latest/pyo3_asyncio/#why-two…
It was wise of @drewdevault to host redict (redis fork) on @Codeberg to maintain workflow parity with github and avoid any perceived conflicts of interest¹.
I wondered why LGPL and not of AGPL², which is also explained nicely: "but we want to make it as easy as possible for users to comply with the Redict license and we do not see any reason to discourage cloud providers from making use of Redict."
It's a very longwinded debate however. Red Hat interprets the spec as explicit. Cert Manager, browser vendors, and others don't agree and everyone else in between has to find workarounds for stuff being broken that otherwise shouldn't be because of that disagreement.
I decided to block threads.net with a domain block list. Initially I thought maybe I don't have to hurry to do anything about it, since on my feed timeline newer popped up any threads account.
Since I'm here because I want an alternative and doesn't want to be part of any Meta or other surveillance capitalist social network, better to be proactive than wait till problems that those platforms start to show up here.
"Facebook, Instagram, and Meta's business model is to make money by exploiting users data and amplifying right-wing propaganda, conspiracy theories, and disinformation." Just a loosely quoted part from the excellent article about why to block threads.
It looks interesting. While the compiler is written in Rust (a RRIR from Erlang), the code itself runs on the Erlang VM or on JS. Unfortunately, you can’t do hot code reloading and I’m curious what/if you have to sacrifice to run on JS.
I-80 remains closed at the Nevada state line and Colfax. Last night, we had a mass amount of vehicles stuck over Donner Summit and it took several hours for emergency personnel and tow trucks to reach motorists."

postmarketos.org/faq/#why-postmarketos-over-ungoo…Hardware vendors just use proprietary drivers so it’s almost impossible to port linux to their devices. It is so crazy that you can’t even update linux kernel in Android without vendor’s help.

If I drop a shortcut/file on to my desktop at position x, y --- and position x, y is an empty space with no conflicts with other shortcuts... THAT is where it should land & stick.
No - I do not have auto-format on.
AND why would you move it to a place that shifts my other "organized" shortcuts.
