Sorry for the contrarian hot take, but ...

I think Trump reflexively jumped and said he'd debate because he feared looking weak. Then he immediately started changing the non-negotiable terms so that Biden would be the one to say no.

Trump is afraid to debate, and is playing games to offload the blame for them not happening onto Biden. I will be very surprised if either debate actually does happen.

Every generation has to learn for itself what the prior generations learned - there are lies that won't die.

Preeminent among them are vile racist tropes of all kinds, including anti-Semitic tropes like those found in the Protocols of the Elders of Zion - namely that the Jews secretly control <whatever>.
The reality is no one ethnic group controls anything.

Republicans’ declarations of support for Israel are simple to see through, but this is a good run down on most of the antisemitic tropes I’ve been seeing all my life.

So, don’t believe anything Republicans are saying about it. However, if you read it, you’ll see some portion of the left is using antisemitic tropes, also, over and over. Antisemitism is antisemitism. There’s no excuse for it.

This is the exact result that Trump and Johnson pleaded with her to not cause.

It not only proves again how stupid the Reps were to adopt the 1-vote vacancy rule to begin with, but it shows that Reps need Dems to legislate. They taught MAGA to consider cooperation with Dems inherently weak and traitorous. Now they're stuck doing it.

So Reps are now vulnerable to MTG charges that they are in cahoots with the Dems, and everything's rigged. The fear is MAGA will stay home in disgust.

For those losing their heads over today's actions by Judge Cannon, take a deep breath. This was always going to happen. The writing has been on the wall since Judge Cannon was drawn for the case. Getting all worked up about it is only going to make you crazy and desperate. The way we will rid ourselves of this menace is at the polls in November.
