@BigAngBlack I make belt packs, too, for that purpose. They're small but hold more than that pouch. They can be laced onto a belt or carried as a clutch or cross body purse. Here's a basic example:

@jensorensen In Boston recently, when there was a shortage of shelter for unhoused migrants that we've had shipped here from Florida and Texas, we housed them in Terminal E of Logan Airport. There's still a shortage of shelter space but we're working to figure it out.

I wish the bike trails in Massachusetts had better maps. What is nearby? Where are the landmarks? I keep trying to get an idea of where there are trails near me but the maps show - it's this area of town, kind of near a river or it's parallel to this road but best of luck finding where to enter. I want to see it on a satellite map. Where can I conveniently (and legally) pick it up?

I've been staring at this poor white tube with legs on my coffee table for a couple weeks but now he's starting to come together. .

Now the tube has tan, russet and brown colouring and large wings, a translucent beak and large round yellow eyes.

Last night I baked a bunch of cookies for my partner's coworkers and for friends. They're sandwich cookies with a delicious center so each cookie is actually two cookies. My partner has three coworkers so I packed a bag with 8 sandwich cookies. Asked if that's enough, my partner said, "Well, it'll have to be, won't it?" So I filled the bag with all the cookies and now neither we nor our friends will have home-baked cookies this weekend. Passive aggressive engenders passive aggression.

I missed the woodland home I gave away so made another. This one has more whimsical trees, bent by wind and time. The stone wall has more detail as it's formed from individual rocks. Above it all, there's sunshine for growth and to light the future. .

The first step in turning bacon fat into lard for is to clean the grease, aka render it.
Place grease into a pot with twice as much water as grease. Bring to a boil and boil for 15 minutes, until grease and water are well combined. Don't allow this mixture to boil over or you'll start a fire. After boiling, refrigerate until the grease hardens. The grease will float to the top and the water and impurities will sink. Scoop the grease from the top and save it. Discard the dirty water.

I haven't forgotten that I was detailing the rendering of bacon grease into a fat to make soap from. I just got involved in other things. Today I rendered the grease a sixth time. Though it's clean now, it still smells like bacon so doubtless, I'll render it some more.
