    @rolle this might go into the "No commercial algorithms" but the feed has an end. All other social media wants to keep you on the platform. Mastodon doesn't show you things you might find interesting. It just shows the posts from yesterday you've already seen if you scroll far enough. Then you get bored an do something else. It a great way to don't get lost in the feed.

    Ich soll nun also eine Account erstellen, damit ich meine Philips HUE Lampen zu Hause weiterhin per App steuern kann. Dafür dient es der "Sicherheit" und ich kann die Lampen von überall her steuern. Wer brauch das und meine Daten gehen dann wieder sonst wo hin.
    Projekt für meine Ferien nächste Woche. Drittanbieter App finden, die Lokal funktioniert.

    @thomas vor allem wenn ich denke wofür ich das Ding brauche. Nachtischlampe die am Morgen als Lichtwecker funktioniert, und Hintergrundlicht für meinen Rechner das sich um 23:00 langsam dimmt damit ich die Zeit nicht vergesse und pünktlich ins Bett komme.
    Muss mich noch genau ins Thema einlesen ob eine Open Source App reicht oder ob ich auch die Bridge austauschen muss.

    Auch deswegen nutze ich YouTube nicht direkt, sondern Links über @invidious* oder nutze es mobil via @newpipe*, um Videos zu sehen und so weit frei vom Tracking zu sein. Leider sind noch nicht sehr viele anregende Videoproduktionen im Fediverse zB auf @peertube vertreten.

    Ich bin gerade daran meinen eigenen Pen & Paper Blog aufzubauen. Ich habe mich bewusst gegen AI Kunst entschieden und arbeite gerade mit einer Künstlerin und guten Freundin an einigen Bilder die sie für mich zeichnet. Kostet zwar etwas Geld, dafür ist es ordentliche Arbeit.

    Something i really prefer about Mastodon compared to any other social media platform is, that the feed has an end. Meaning the posts i have seen earlier. And when i see them i stop scrolling and do something else. Other than twitter or Instagram where it keeps pushes new content into my face and i get lost.

    Mittlerweile wurde innerhalb von 3 Wochen die 4. Weltkriegsbombe auf der Baustelle nebenan gefunden. Eigentlich sollte schon heute am frühen Morgen eine Sprengung erfolgen. Hat beim ersten Versuch allerdings nicht geklappt.

    In wenigen Minuten wird es einen zweiten Versuch geben. Allerdings Ist der Schutzradius auf 50m reduziert, deshalb konnte ich überhaupt erst in die Nähe ;)

    @gamingonlinux I really wish for an Mod or Update, that stops my characters when someone discovers a trap or something interesting.
    It happens too often that my character discovers a trap, but still has the command to walk to the other end of the room and steps right into the trap.🤦‍♂️
