I've never really gotten the whole "omg clean sheets" thing - probably mostly because changing the sheets is like running a goddamn marathon with POTS so not a rewarding experience - but I just half-killed myself putting a brand new sheet on the bed which was WELL overdue, and.. I kinda get it just at the moment. It's so pretty and clean 😅

@3TomatoesShort I love love love clean sheets, but it takes preparation. I plan out my spoons so I can change them out semi-frequently. I sleep so much better (and now with a dog that sleeps w/me every night it's extra necessary).

Fun adventures in parenting a fantastic trans kid.

My son started T right before leaving for Korea. The T has really done well with their body and their voice has DROPPED.

Now they're home again, and I keep hearing a "man voice" in my house and panic for just half a sec. It's not the voice I remember from them and I'm still getting used to it, so it's like AAAAHH, oh right. Boy voice now.

He is ecstatic - his voice was a big source of dysphoria and now it's BASS

Hey friends, I need some help! The husband and I have started a sitting meditation group here in DC and I need to get a website up. I have bought the domain name.

I'm wondering what the easiest "build it yourself" website hosting company is for someone over 60 who didn't grow up doing this?

The website itself will just be a marketing tool with 3 or 4 pages.

Alternatively, if anyone wants to do this for free or cheap, let me know!

It's what we use at the non-profit I work for and it's SO very simple. Lots of drag and drop.

I'm also super willing to donate my time to help you set something up if that's helpful. I'm no genius, but I do the marketing for our therapy barn here.

In light of covid, I wish my city (or any city really) had outdoor event spaces for medium-big sized cons. With built-in shade, pre-planned layouts with trash cans, maybe some counter tops, maybe half walls to create rows, drinking fountains, bathrooms, electrical outlets, etc.

Not just a big park where they shove a bunch of tents!

@gavi I'm a big fan of Campfire.

It saves your docs as plain text, in case you ever stop using the software you will still have all the words you wrote.

There's a free version that just has limited modules which functions really well imho.

@ktempestbradford Yeah, I struggle with that one. I know Biden sucks in MANY MANY ways. I do. Voting for him isn't turning a blind eye to that.

The simple fact is: Nothing they care about is going to get BETTER under Trump, and a lot of things they care about are going to get worse.

Recently picked up Phasmophobia. Honestly, it's kind of a perfect game for me. I love the premise, the game loop, the mystery. The match based setup makes it so freaking replayable.

Gotta say though... The scariest thing in that game is the economy. Even without dying I just find the cash flow is so freaking slow.

I see people with their fully decked out trailers and I can't help but cringe at the thought of them dying. They'd lose so much freaking money.
