YO, gadget nerds! I have 5 or 6 old (like... 7 - 12 years) smartphones and tablets. Most run android, one is a Windows Phone (yes, I know, omg!). I feel like there must be some kind of hacker/modder community that would love to have these to mess around with. Am I wrong?

Today's Thing 2: That Google Maps results allow scammers to literally hijack a legitimate business listing ON A GODDANG MAP.

I 100% agree with @pluralistic that:

"Try as hard as you'd like, you just can't shop your way out of a monopoly – that's like trying to recycle your way out of the climate emergency. Systemic problems need systemic solutions – not individual ones."

Stop wasting your time "boycotting Amazon" and focus on supporting the uprooting of monopolies.
