@CyberPunker @malteengeler Notiz am Rande: Wir sollten nicht alles KI nennen. Hier ist eigentlich die Rede von LLMs und generative KI.
KI als Überbegriff wird auch in der Klimaforschung verwendet, etwa, um Modelle und Vorhersagen genauer zu berechnen. Völlig anderes Ding.

This is a bread I bake from time to time, the recipe is quite simple but it takes time because it's a cold fermentation, which means the dough needs to be left in the fridge for at least 12 hours.

I know Tomas @tf is baking ... anyone else?

Ein Mann mit mittelgroßem Account zieht über einen Politiker her. Nicht unflätig, nicht aggressiv. Irgendwas zwischen ironisch und sarkastisch.

Es gibt viele Likes und Kommentare: Gut geschrieben. Treffend formuliert.
Aber auch:
Der ist krank.
Der ist tyrannisch. Das habe ich vor vierzig Jahren schon gehabt und brauche es nicht nochmal.

Ich schreibe, dass ich eher einen Angriff auf die Person als inhaltliche Kritik lese und es mir angesichts der politischen Stimmung andersherum wünsche.

@LThiry Manchmal lohnt sich's auch kaum zu antworten. Ich hab grad wieder in die Untiefen von Mastodon geschaut bei der Nachricht, dass ein Mann in Frankreich eine Synagoge abfackeln wollte (es brannte schon) und mit Waffen auf die Polizei losging, die ihn dann erschoss.
In einer ganz gewissen linken Szene kocht der Hass auf die Polizei hoch, der Attentäter wird in Schutz genommen, tw sogar bejubelt. Ekligst, aber das sind Unbelehrbare. Gewaltbereit, als wären sie von einer anderen Richtung.

@klinkner_anna Froh zu hören, dass du trocken geblieben bist. Es kam zu schnell zu viel Wasser runter, das nicht so schnell versickern konnte.
Jetzt scheint die Sonne, als ob nichts gewesen wäre. Aber Bäume und Büsche haben fette Äste abgeworfen und hängen tw. auf die Dächer.

@maxime68 Danke dir! Ja, das Unwettergebiet hockte wie ein fette Linse genau im nördlichen Dreiländereck und im Departement Moselle. Dort hat es die Saar und Mosel aufgefüllt. Das ging so schnell, dass es in überfluteten Orten wie Diemeringen sogar Strömung gab. Rettungskräfte kenterten mit dem Boot, ist aber zum Glück nichts passiert.

@cedric Oh yes. I'm living in a very rural region and had to drive at least to the next town for mealworms. With the torrential rain and the floodings, I prefer to stay at home and well, it's nature ... Tomorrow should be drier.

I feel like sometimes random people just change your life in so many ways, like the girl who gave me a film camera in 2003 when I visited Kolkata, India for the first time. i haven't spoken to her in 20 years, but she gave me the gift of having my memories in still film photographs for the rest of my life

Portugal is crushing it: renewables met 91% of Portugal’s electricity needs in the first 4 months this year & have pushed their⚡️prices to a 4 yr low!

Renewables are carrying an increasing % of their electrcity demand in the first 4 months in 2024:

  • 95% April
  • 91% March
  • 88% Feb
  • 81% in Jan

Portugal’s rapid transition is evidence it can be done: renewables are up from 27% in 2005 & 54% in 2017 with their last coal power plant shut down in 2021.
