bubble, help me out. I'm looking for a rules and setting light SciFi focusing on ships (mining, travel, and/or dog fights) rather than characters.
Like "Lasers and Feelings", but everyone gets their own ship.

I am specifically inspired by Fredrik Knudsen's excellent 6h documentary on EVE Online (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BCSeISYcoyI) and want to do some space trading and exploit worm holes in mining operations 🚀

Tracy (u.a.

Looking forward to see more of this:

Tools to poison data sets for "AI" models. Reading that 300 images can already mess Stable Diffusion up makes me hopeful that we can make image sources unusable for "AI"

@tante interesting, but half of that article read machine generated itself with a lot of redundant paragraphs

When critics celebrate a work that I hate, it makes me feel dumb. I feel like I don't see something that to them is obvious. But I guess it's also the critics' fault if all the reasoning they give is just "it's full of ideas". I don't see it.

I discovered "Daria" today and got a bit sad that I didn't discover it earlier. It's very relatable today, but if I'd been exposed to it earlier I maybe could have actually learned some things from it then, instead of "just" recognizing its lessons now.
I still very much appreciate it and am taking things away from it (in addition to enjoying the humor and the vibes).
And is that theme song great or what!

"The internet looks the way it does largely to feed an ever-changing, opaque Google Search algorithm."

Mia Sato's article is part of The Verge's series on how Google Search reshapes the web and focuses specifically on e-commerce and SEO.

"Sometimes you’re just describing all the things that a magnet can stick to, and that’s pretty silly"

So, I founded a rock band last year, "Lipstick Driver"

It's loud

REALLY loud

And I was a fool who didn't wear hearing protection, so ...

... I got tinnitus! Wheeee

The website is https://mynoise.net/ and it is so amazing! It's just one guy running it, recording and creating all these amazing soundscapes that you can customize. I like combining the piano (88 Keys) with something nature (Irish Coast or one of the rain generators).

@ryanpendell @bookstodon oh, I recently read that as well! What was your favorite tale?
I liked Icarus because I was surprised by all the small details that are omitted in modern references (literally shortened to just "he flew too Clos to the sun"). And the proto-Romeo-and-Juliet and the nymph that turns into a sunflower

@KBroquard @ryanpendell @bookstodon
Not OP, but I'd highly recommend it! It's not difficult to read and it's such fun to read all these tales. And there's so much stuff in there!

“Clive” is a kind of weird name in the US

Every so often, a service worker asks if my name is pronounced “C-Live”

As if I were a DJ or something

I’m tempted to roll with it

@danhon @clive I was reading it as in "a DJ on tour that you can go C-Live"

A few days using , and I think I'm going to keep it. It's super polished, and I always wanted a personal , which is essentially what it is.

For me the main advantage over is how good linking between notes works.

The biggest disappointment is that there's no built in

But the real star of this entire thing is , which is much better than I suspected when I glanced it a long time ago. Especially in combination with .

@ainmosni I don't know if it was Obsidian or Syncthing, but in the three years of using the two one of them ate 20 of my files, so I'd recommend some additional backup. (I'm using git with git-crypt)
