Journalist Jonathan Katz fact checked Katie Brittโs horrific rape story from her over-the-top rebuttal.
Despite all the drama, it turns out to be a story that happened 20 years ago - and not in the U.S. but in Mexico. Itโs a story that was recounted in Congressional testimony in 2015.
Katie #Britt lied when she blamed this on Joe #Bidenโs border policies and when she said it happened in the U.S. #SOTU
But it confuses me that people voted in a republican primary, presumably for a loser, I mean republican, but won't vote for a republican in the general election.
Someone (follower) just DMd me accusing me of being a 'drag on support' of Dems.
Why? He said "we're all supporting the democracy coalition", & I explained that many in my replies are angry, not supportive. He accused me of something something Hillary's emails re Biden... not sure what that meant, but it was offensive.
If anyone ever accuses me of not supporting Biden in this election, they haven't read my TL or listened to me on air.
๐คญ๐๐ผ โ#Trump offered NY appeals court a bond of only $100 mil to pause the more than $450 million penalty he faces in his civil fraud case, a clear sign that the former president lacks the $ to cover the full amount.
..also asked to pause enforcement of finan penalty & wide range of other punishments the judge levied.โ #legal

Jack Posobiec at CPAC: โWelcome to the end of democracy. We are here to overthrow it completely. We didnโt get all the way there on Jan. 6, but we will endeavor to get rid of it.โ
@GottaLaff@skydog@Wileymiller
Well, Jan 6th was a thing, and a few people, unfortunately, died. But it was barely a blip on the country's collective radar. It had basically no impact on Americans.
There would have to be many days like J6 and much more violence to wake up the country. ๐
In the aftermath of Dobbs, abortion has emerged as a game-changing 'wedge' issue, creating an opportunity that Democrats could very well seize in the upcoming election. It's going to take a bit of chess, but if played correctly, the issue could power turnout and keep key battleground states in the blue column next year: https://thinkbigpicture.substack.com/p/gop-wedge-issue-abortion-2024
@georgetakei I'm glad there is an issue that seems to resonate.
What shocks me is others don't like:
gun deaths, religious zealots in congress and on the courts, authoritarian trend of candidates, hatred of anyone not a cis/white/christian, abandonment of any member of society that is not rich ...
