I'm not a serious King Crimson fan, in fact hardly at all, but I'd go see this lineup if it was playing nearby, which is isn't, but they're playing just about everywhere else in the US, so here.

Adrian Belew, Tony Levin, Steve Vai, Danny Carey is the lineup. I'm a huge Belew fan, Vai not so much but he can play the Fripp parts, Levin is great, but Tool drummer Carey is the ringer here - a chance to see him (he's insanely good) play non Tool material 👀👀👀

Tried to passively listen to the new #Beyonce album already this morning and it kept grabbing my attention. Beatles and Dolly, smoke breaks with Willie, genre bending but she’s kind of pissed off about it, Miley Cyrus singing about mortality. There’s a lot going on.

Sure, there were a few exciting moments and the make-up (quickie) sex of the last four songs. But overall a fairly uninspired set with fairly uninspired play. The good news is this is par for the course when the band tries to play a single-set show, and the next 3 nights are all standard two-setters.

NFL thoughts: statistically, the biggest advantage SF has over KC is run offense vs run defense. That said, Spagnuolo is the greatest defensive big game play caller of the last 20 years. I'm at the end of my patience with @1password. I'm a >20-year user, but it's getting to be impossible. I had to unlink my browser ext from the app, it still constantly fails and requires a Safari restart. New passwords fail to save almost 100% of the time. And now, nearly every time I launch Safari on iOS, I get email notifications about all three of my accounts, every time. I can't be the only one - this product was rock solid for years, but now it's borderline unusable.

Wake up. Immediate drop $50 on a the new T. Swift album, at the insistence of my 7 year-old who somehow (her mother) already knew about it less than 12 hours after it was announced at the Grammy’s. Swift’s pop songs are great, but her business acumen is NEXT LEVEL.

Talked drugs with a 69 year-old Ph.D scientist today who is one of the most sought after expert witnesses is mass tort litigation and he went on and on about how much he misses quaaludes and that’s a conversation I’ve probably had 5 times in my life.

Rating: Buy

I question their ceiling due to songwriting and vocals that come up short, but there is no doubt these guys can play. And while not great, their vocals are still better than most pure jambands.

For now, it seems like they are destined for more growth and excitement , so we’re firm on the buy rating.
