@joesteel The only thing more probable than ads fighting for ads on screen savers and injection systems is that MLB and Nike will partner on liquid-crystal player uniforms’ that dynamically insert ads during the game. These current terrible uniforms are clearly a threshold test to see how much players are willing to accept. (Am I kidding?)

@glennf @joesteel I mean, the dasher boards around hockey rinks already have ads dynamically inserted--sometimes distractingly animated--during NHL play. It won't take new uniforms to create dynamic ads on players' shirts; it'll only take time.

I'm going to say it: I've reached the point in my tech pundit career where I am profoundly uninterested in today's announcements. That might be one of the most unpopular things I say all year. I was quite interested in the M1 and M2 and Studio Mac by contrast. I am sure there's a market for AR/VR goggles, but I think they're one of the most boring possible things for a technology company to sink their time into.
