I'm creating a turn based game with random enemy spawns, telegraphed with a sigil on the floor one turn prior.

What do you think about having a few sigils, representing difficulty (minion, normal, elite, boss), rather than making all the sigils unique (or all the same?).

For example if you see en 'Elite' sigil you won't know whether it's a heavyweight (better to stand back), or a lich (better get close to kill quick).

Is this interesting, or just annoying?

@SirLich how about something in-between? Easy and difficult. It gives you room to strategise, but doesn't reveal to much information.

Hey

  • Do people over 40 keep telling you you should use IRC and IRC is better than Discord and Slack?
  • Did you try IRC and it wasn't better at all?
  • Do you need to use an IRC channel but IRC is a pain?
  • Use irccloud.com
  • It's free, it has a website interface that's like Discord, it has a phone app, it even lets you paste images into IRC
  • Downside: If you connect only from phone, they DC you after a bit unless you're on the paid plan. Get around this by leaving a web tab open on a desktop

Nobody asked me, but I think IRC WAS great for its time. And it's past time to move on. But then again, if you are there for the people, not the protocol, then it is a good reason to pay money to stay connected. 🙂

We really haven't reckoned with how broken Google is.

The only alternatives anyone ever suggests are all reskins of Bing – also useless.

Edit: Do not reply suggesting Duckduckgo, yes it has a few bells and whistles but its web search results are still sourced from Bing.

According to the latest Eurobarometer survey, more than 81% of EU travellers are enjoying the freedom of calling, texting, and using without extra charges when exploring the EU and EEA countries.

The Roaming rules have been in place since June 2017 and got extended last year until 2032.

    @thor Da jeg bodde utenfor Oslo brukte jeg utelukkende kollektivt. Men jeg tenker diskusjonen om biltrafikk i sentrum gjelder flere enn de som har kjøpt seg leilighet midt i gryta. Det er mange brukere av hovedstaden. :)
