I'm not looking forward to trying to make my mind up as quickly as possible (consulting many reviews) about which solar/battery things I want to get before tariffs get imposed.

I am so afraid of making a less-than-good choice if I don't have as long to research it and consider.

Was discussing the neighbor's insistence that the gardeners kill everything yesterday ("they nuked the yard with Roundup" I said) and now my son is getting Roundup ads on Facebook. Yesterday, I mentioned one of my kids' names (which is very close to a brand) and that brand is being advertised to him, too. (I deleted Facebook long ago and will never load it or any of its software, because of that creepy snooping). I guess his generation just assumes they are being listened to all the time...

@Lazarou @LALegault All my neighbors appear to have grown up in both the age and socioeconomic group where "nature" is scary/unwanted and you need to kill anything that moves/is not a landscaping plant. Probably a result of where I live (suburbs) + age group of these folks. I wonder if they just had too many TV dinners as children or ingested too much plastic.

When my sister sold her home, she had her white realtor come to show the appraiser around. She LEFT HER OWN HOME during the process. Right now, my college friend is removing all signs of Blackness from her home before she puts it on the market. All art, photos, statues are being packed. All books are being turned spine in. THIS IS WHAT RACISM DOES.

  • Left 3 hives were fine with the weeding, the fourth hive decided they were PISSED at all the weeding, so we abandoned clearing around that particular one after cursory weed removal. They decided they'd try some stinging, LOL. (good suit, so no issues... but definitely backed off after that.)

@bud_t I was the DJ for the lacrosse team for a number of years, and I have to say I worked very hard to find the right mix of "get pumped" songs that worked for both parents and kids. (all the kids ones required editing, LOL). It was pretty cool to see kids, players, parents dancing to the music, so I think I did a decent job :-)

@EugestShirley Depends... most of our hives is one or two months apart. More often is better but if you have a lot, impossible to do that.
