Recently one of my family members (whom I love very much) thought it was trash and threw it away. So if you or someone you know has an undersea cable to spare, I would love to buy it from you!

I could list dozens more off the top of my head. It is basically impossible to express how amazing gorillawarfare is. Same with Emily Temple Wood and Jess Wade and Rosiestep, who write biographies of women. Also shoutout to the anonymous lady who spent five hours straight writing about hamsters from her phone last weekend. Oh, and i love the California mom Jengod who unearths fascinating forgotten historical events from newspaper archives and puts them on Wikipedia. I could go on and on!!

@funcrunch @lesley no, that was how we did links for our first 2 weeks of Wikipedia (other wikis had done it like that for years)! Until early Wikimedian Clifford Adams wrote software so make links look like [[this]]

I like this 2011 project by @moebio that shows Wikipedia articles that have high rates of female editors (like "Cloth menstrual pad," "Teen Mom 2," and the original Pride and Prejudice film) as well as extremely male-edited articles (such as Pulp Fiction, Baseball, and a lot of geography articles). But I cannot find where this data is coming from! Where did it go!? I feel like one of you will be able to find it!
