@textfiles I actually watched the CBS morning show segment and it was pretty good. They interviewed Larry Lessig, and the point that Walt Disney has been using the IP of others for a century was emphasized.
With Jenna Ellis now the fourth defendant/witness taking a (very good) plea/cooperation deal in GA, anyone with exposure who hasn't yet shown their cards has got to be wondering how many more of these deals Willis will be willing to make before the hammer comes down.
@mattblaze the deals are already getting less generous. The first two went down to misdemeanors, Chesebro got a single very reduce felony, Ellis pled to the only non-RICO felony she was charged with.
@dandrezner I still lurk on that site, because there are people I trust still posting. But the remaining people are those that seem to find some enjoyment fighting the trolls, all the people who don”t have left. I don’t find enjoyment in watching troll fights.
Total aside. I love that half the news stories about Jack Smith, the special counsel leading the federal investigation of Trump, use this photo of him. (Taken of him in his official garb at his day job prosecuting war crimes in The Hague.)
He looks FREAKING TERRIFYING. If he were coming after me, I’d run.
Have you ever noticed -- if you ask a programmer to do something and their first reaction is a vehement no way are we doing that then they come back a week later and they've implemented it. I learned never to take a hard no as a for-real no. Good developers keep coming back to the idea if it's interesting enough. Sometimes it ends up as disastrous as the programmer initially thought. I could tell you stories. But also sometimes it's how killer features get into products at the last minute.
@davew over the years I’ve worked with a few very terrific hw and sw developers that I knew were the perfect people to work on some aspect of my projects. I learned that the best way to get them to work on the problem was casually putting the bug in their ear about it and then walking away. I week or so later I’d have a new team member.
