    AI kan sannerligen vara som magi och häxkonster ibland. Som nu ikväll när jag ägnade en liten stund åt att träna en modell att sjunga i min röst. Jag har alltid önskat att jag kunnat sjunga, så det känns verkligen märkligt att höra mig göra något jag egentligen inte har förmågan till.

    Wordpress, en av de absolut största plattformarna för webbplatser generellt, har nyligen uppdaterat deras plugin för protokollet ActivityPub. Det betyder att den som har en wordpressblog kan omvandla den sociala dimensionen av bloggen till ett konto baserat på protokollet. I praktiken innebär det att det går att följa bloggens uppdateringar och kommentera på bloggen direkt från till exempel Mastodon.

    @aronambrosiani @utstallningskritik Jag håller med dig. Det är en väldigt stor påverkan. Det öppnar upp för så många möjligheter när en hel infrastruktur kopplas upp. Jag har också testat med https://www.partnerskapetloft.se som finns här på @partnerskapetloft.se - där jag framförallt postar inlägg som poddfiler i en pågående utbildning. Just att ocskå podd fungerar är rätt häftigt.

    @doktorzjivago @Karolina @LeoR1010 @meraord håller med så mycket i detta! Förra veckan när jag skrev debattartikel blev detta så tydligt. Jämförelsen mellan plattformarna är otrolig, i samma debatt. Trollig och ful med personangrepp på X, yrkesmässig och stel på Linkedinken och öppen, social och mer komplex här. Men mest tydlig vad skillnaden i omfattning. Samtalen på X har blivit en liten gyttjig rännil, jämfört med en livligare bäck här.

    This is an excellent brief description of our problems and our opportunity. Interesting that he chose the words ” open social media platforms” to describe the decentralized firmament, rather than “fediverse.”

    @shoq I pondered what to write in this context, and usually use Fediverse. But given the target audience of this op ed and its very limited knowledge of things outside traditional social media, I thought to simplify and not introduce new terminology that needed explanation.

    As the Twitter migrations fade, I wish we could discuss how we might evolve the fediverse as something less an alternative to big social, than a parallel social universe. One is useful for widely broadcasting ideas, news and opinion to millions, many of whom will have the IQ of a learning-disabled mollusk, while the other is better suited to discussing those same things. They are completely different ecosystems that can and should thrive independently of each other, but interoperate as needed.

    @shoq I recently wrote this text as an op ed in a major Swedish newspaper, mainly pointing towards civic actors and public institutions to engage in the Fediverse instead of X, in line with your argumentation.
