Writer and broadcaster of Signal Thirteen Radio. Retired innocent bystander. Cursing is at times a form of art.

I love music, radio and connections. In real life a son, brother, pupper dad and caregiver, writer of oddities, Jockey of Discs.

Bigotry and hatred against LGTBQ2S+ people, and others, will cause me to identify as a massive problem.

Don't hurt people.

Ways in which liberals who claim to care about the outcome of the 2024 presidential election can help Trump win: post shit like this. Blame voters for getting upset about being asked to vote for genocide.

@SallyStrange That's a real leap to voting from genocide.

I get you are rock solid on your position, but could you perhaps for just a moment see it as being a vote for a system where you can try to stop genocide vs. a system where you could be shot in the street for trying to stop anything.

I'm not saying you're wrong nor your opinion invalid.

But could you see from a different point of view where someone is voting for a future positive as opposed to an indifferent, callous nazi supporter?

Imagine ‘normal’ people where running away from stuff like Giluliani does, they would be tossed into jail

People like him should be held accountable much more, no discounts, no walking away, no beach house

If you want to serve in such a position you should also accept the consequences otherwise.. mooooveeee asiiide!

@stux Assets frozen. Let's see him run broke, and while we're at it, let's liquidate what is seized and pay off those workers he defamed, and all the other money he owes people.

I sent an email to the folks over at the "Jesus, He gets Us" campaign.

I pointed out that if they look at the source material, Jesus is part of the Trinity, so Jesus' correct pronoun would be "them".

I have not, as yet, heard back.

I remain hopeful.

Reelect Trump and it's for the rest of your life.

@WhiteCatTamer @TonyStark We need to use the discipline they display to stay the course and keep our objective in sight. They use this against us so often and it really annoys me how often it works.

@TonyStark @WhiteCatTamer

And yet we laugh at the fact that many Republican voters vote against their own interests on issues like health care, voting rights, wage standards and job place safety.

And yet I get the feeling sections of the US left are either preparing to do the same, or vote by not showing up. This election shouldn't even be close, but every election a sizable portion doesn't show up.

I'm a Canadian observer, and I hope I'm wrong. I really, really hope I'm wrong.

@Snowshadow @TonyStark @WhiteCatTamer Er, k.

And yet I, and several persons of my acquaintance but who I am yet unable to contact because I done lost their deets, have remarked but yet will not solemnly swear to, at least not under oath, that I indirectly and directly have observed, sometimes even when not having edibles, 1/2

that there have been expressions of wry mirth and ridicule that some conservative Americans complain of tyranny and lack of opportunity and yet vote for tyranny and lack of opportunity.

First one was punchier, but I want to be accurate. 2/2 :ablobcatnomcookie:

@TonyStark That's certainly how I meant it, and my reply was also firmly tongue in cheek. It's not that I don't value relationships with those online, but humour is vital, and it is best to approach social media with a good degree of silliness.

Let's call it a day, watch the penguin on the tely, and try again tomorrow.

DO NOT WHITEMANSPLAIN TO ME POLITICS

go fucking put your body on the line and protest and fight the injustice of having to choose the bad politics of the fascist lite politician.

then go vote for the fascist lite politician and continue to protest him until we can have actual real democracy defending politicians.

FUCK YOU AND YOUR WHITE PRIVILEGE. i hope everything you take for granted is taken from you. EVERYTHING; because that's a day ending in y for the rest of us Black & Brown folks.

She Campaigned for a School Board Seat as a Hard-Liner. Now She’s Rejecting Her Party’s Extremism.

Courtney Gore, a Granbury ISD school board member, has disavowed the far-right platform she campaigned on after finding no evidence that were being indoctrinated by the district’s curriculum. Her defiance has brought her backlash.

@ProPublica @JeremySchwartz

Educating people works. I mean, it's better if they aren't indoctrinated or wrong to begin with. Failing that, I do have to respect people who are presented with evidence they hadn't seen, or had just been taking peoples word for it, and have the courage to actually change their minds publicly.

It's why I'm not in favour of "they're all stupid". I wouldn't always disagree, but it makes it harder to reach people and change their minds.
