One of my favorite things to do is make a glass of water, put a few icecubes in it. Leave it on the table, forget about it, then come back into the room just after the last icecube has melted. Then down the whole perfectly cold glass of water.

Good morning and Happy Wednesday / May / International Workers' Day.

The United States is one of the only countries in the world to not acknowledge International Workers' Day / Labor Day on May Day / May 1st. The active denial of comradery by the US of American laborers with our international allies is definitely purposeful. Even as the date was selected based on a historic strike in the US.

We should acknowledge the struggle of the labor movement and workers across the globe.

Work/Career Update!

As many of you know, I have worked for @novalauncher for 8 1/2 years. When I was hired, I was done so as a contractor and remained a contractor the entire time. Then two years ago, Branch Metrics acquired Nova and while I made the transition over, I was still a contractor due to Branch not having things setup to hire full time employees in the state of North Carolina. If I'm a good father, my kids will need me less and less, but know I love them fully and will also be here for them. If I'm a good husband, my wife will love me more and more as the kids start to move on.

I also realize, I am influencing my kids choices less and less as they get older, and I'm cool with that. All I can do now, is know that I have loved and supported them from the start and always will, no matter what. Where they go from here, is becoming all them.
