Woke is some kind of obscenity to some but on it's face the definition is straightforward, positive, and empathetic.

Woke is an adjective derived from African-American Vernacular English (AAVE) meaning "alert to racial prejudice and discrimination". Beginning in the 2010s, it came to encompass a broader awareness of social inequalities such as racial injustice, sexism, and denial of LGBT rights.

I suspect that I have a case of Rhinovirus. I tested negative for Covid. I took the Influenza shot in April. I shouldn't feel this sick. Checked with CDC, and Rhinovirus is high right now
