Downgrade if you’re running one of the latest xz versions, it has been compromised. If you’re using mainstream distros, you may be fine (as they lag with versions a bit behind master). If you’re running Alpine or any other non-gnu or non-systemd distro, you should be fine too (the exploit checks for GNU, and also probably won’t work with distro-unpatched sshd)

@elly RISC-V has a lot of extensions, and while making use of them is a pain, on a core level it’s somewhat cleaner than ARM was at a few points in its life.

fwiw, if i wanted an easy assembly bytecode, i’d just go for the 6502 :blobcat3c:

our favourite Mac, booted to the desktop, showing System Profiler. We have 64MB of RAM, little below a half of which is used by Finder. The icons on the desktop are scattered semi-randomly, suggesting that this machine was used quite extensively.
