Question for the developers. You're sending an API request with an array of arguments (e.g. show me only things of type 1 and type 2), assuming the API doesn't support comma separated values, which of these would you expect to be the "correct" way?

@liztai crows are amazing. It's hard to find an animal that's not intimidated by them. I can often see the bird of prey here in the area change their position when they see one.

I might be one of the few people who don’t use WhatsApp a lot. Somehow all interactions with family and friends happen via other methods.
I think WhatsApp uses local push at least on the iPhone, so if the app is not running in the background, you’re not getting any push messages. After an update the iPhone doesn’t automatically start WhatsApp again, so if you’re like me and update apps pretty regularly and don’t start WhatsApp on a daily basis, it can well happen that you miss messages from the few people who sometimes do contact you this way. Every single time.

Just now I opened WhatsApp (by accident, I wanted to open another app with a green icon) and found that the usually quiet group with my cousins had almost a hundred messages that I missed. So I guess I have to get myself into the habit of opening that wretched app at least once a week?

@liztai @dominik yeah, it's still super common here, but I somehow lucked out with family and friends who use other messengers. Plus I'm a grouchy introvert so I don't have to organize much with "strangers." I think for that it's still WhatsApp all the way.

@liztai for now I like to think of the plugin as a broadcast-only option, a bit like RSS. I've been using it on my blog for a while ( @dominik ) and I'm looking forward to what the developer is doing, now that he can work full-time on it. I'm sure the whole comment thing will be high on the list of priorities.
Until then I reply from this account, which is a bit clunky but (to me) an acceptable compromise for the time being.

    I think the next city I will visit is Shanghai! Interestingly some parts of it remind me of Georgetown, down to the colonial buildings and shops selling fish and vegetables.
    But I will only go after I pass or complete HSK 1 & 2 - as a reward for myself 😜 Hopefully by end of next year?

    @liztai make sure you go in spring or autumn, though - it was miserably cold when I was there in winter and I heard it is too hot in summer even for people who are used to warm weather
