Das eine ergonomische Tastatur bei Schmerzen in den Handgelenken und Ellbogen hilft, weiss ich. Aber bringt es auch etwas bei Rückenschmerzen, die man offensichtlicherweise durch am Rechner sitzen/stehen hat?

  1. Find a replacement for Sundar. This person needs to be both able if articulating a coherent vision for Google as a company, and inspire great engineers to want to work on great problems.

Resilienz und Redundanz im #Schienenverkehr #Bahnverkehr #Eisenbahn ist extrem wichtig (und wurde, wo vorhanden, kaputt gespart) - ob Fernverkehr oder auch gerade dem #ÖPNV.

Es kann nicht angehen dass ein einziger Unfall oder medizinische Versorgung so häufig zig tausende Menschen betrifft!

@oliof @isotopp Es könnte sich als Startup sogar lohnen den ganzen AI Kram (Storage+GPUs) on Prem zu haben, aber den "Business Logic" Teil, aka Web-Frontends, Userverwaltung, $Integrations in der Cloud, wenn man nicht zuviel Infrastruktur an den Hacken haben möchte.

Yeah, sure, but ...

Good luck finding such an attack in proprietary code.
Via the cliché paid off/blackmailed employee, hacked dev servers/repos, or via capitalism's favorite cost-cutting measure: a remote "offshored" contracted temporary developer (or nowadays, embedded into some LLM output).

If anything, Open Source Security has worked.

What I really like, is that nobody is blaming the previous maintainer of xz to hand it over to a sophisticated malicious developer.

Everybody is emphatic enough to see they would have fallen themselves to the pressure to hand it over to that other only guy helping to maintain.

Under absolutely any circumstance, if your library or application supports a timezone option, the default for that option should be Etc/UTC.

Okay, one exception may apply, which is if your library or application runs on another planet. (Lest @bagder complain.)

Heute haben wir erstmalig in diesem Jahr noch bevor die Batterie voll war ins Netz eingespeist (die verträgt eine maximale Ladeleistung von ca. 5 kW; wenn die PV-Produktion darüber liegt und es gibt kaum Eigenverbrauch, dann geht der Überschuss ins Netz).

Teufelszeug, dies Wärmepumpen- und Solar-Geraffel.

@xahteiwi kannst du deine Batterie bis 100% SoC mit 5kW laden? Ich kann hier mit 6kW laden. Ab 80% SoC drosselt die Batterie jedoch auf 2,5kW.

@isotopp @shakalandy ich hätte gerne noch Statistiken zum Anschaffungspreis gesehen. Aus meiner anekdotische Evidenz, sind die Organisationen mit Windows only häufig auf den günstigsten Plastebomber unterwegs die sie gerade noch mit Business Support bekommen.

In Organisationen mit Macs, ist auch die Bereitschaft höher, hochwertige Lenovo,etc Hardware zu kaufen. Und die hält dann ähnlich lange.
