So for some reason the end of this soldering iron is connected to live mains power. I kept feeling my fingers tingle through the strand of solder I was holding. And then, to test, I placed my hand on the metal bench and touched the iron to the bench and it buzzed my arm.

Had to get the meter out to make sure I wasn't crazy. 70+ volts coming out of that thing.

Whats everyone drinking?

I love coffee but I've been back on a hot tea kick again lately. Love the flavor of Twinings Irish Breakfast, it just feels thin and weak compared to coffee. Just a lighter mouth feel in general. I always use 2-3 bags per cup lol

Yep, sometimes people are overly sensitive on Mastodon, and Yep, it can be more serious here sometimes too, BUT I in no way miss the bullying and harassment of anyone left of center, LGBTQ, women, people of color, anyone that was decided to be too "Woke". I don't miss how difficult it was to get rid of people who had blatantly broke the rules. I don't miss clique gangs who would randomly decided to destroy someone else's account because of pettiness. I most definitely don't miss actual fucking Nazis.

If people seem overly sensitive and serious, remember it's usually because they found a safer place to be themselves and they really really want to keep it that way. We have the opportunity to build, and maintain great things here. So, if you want more funny, make more funny, make whatever you want, let's just keep each other safe.

That's bad enough, but then you go and run the ducts up there, too?

If you keep the system and the ducts within the space you're trying to heat and cool, you don't have to account for any losses, now, do ya?

Put the air handler in a utility closet. Run ducts /below/ the ceiling. Enclose with soffiting if you must.

I have no idea what flowers these are but my favorite color combo is pink and green. These pink flowers were so pretty against those vibrant green leaves in person. Forgot to check what focus mode was set again.. And the LCD on the Mavica makes everything shot appear fine, until I get home. 😅 Hope you enjoy photos with a blurry foreground and out of focus subject. @ShittyCameraChallenge

Who is actually against this? The majority of incandescent sales are from dollar stores. Basic 800 lumen 9W LED bulbs are the same price.

Also, this isn't even a ban on incandescent bulbs. Just general use, inefficient, home lighting. The "ban" barely covers anything.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has carved out exceptions for many different kinds of light bulbs in its ban on the manufacturing and sale of energy inefficient light bulbs. “It does not ban the sale or manufacture of ALL incandescent bulbs, just those common household incandescent (and other) bulbs that are not energy-efficient,” the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) says of the new ban. “Many bulbs, including specialty bulbs, three-way bulbs, chandelier bulbs, refrigerator bulbs, plant grow lights and others, are exempt from the law's requirements.”
