Robert Oster, like Diamine, have so many inks that a lot of them seem the same, but renamed. I watched this Yoseka Stationery video showing off a ton of ink swatches and there were many times I thought, “didn’t I just see this ink?” 🤔

My purple Aeropress is here! I have taken to calling it my "Bora-press", because bora is purple in Korean. It no longer comes with the funnel or the 350 filters+case, but I have those from my old classic Aeropress (which still works fine, by the way, I was just after the pretty) in case I need them.

The dumbphone phenomena is fascinating. I think my approach to reducing my smartphone usage when I feel it's appropriate is different because I knew life before smartphones. Yes, I get stuck mindlessly looking at social media sometimes, but I turn to other things like reading or journaling (or watching TV 😅) rather than feeling I have to switch to a dumbphone. To each their own.

I bought some Black Black gum (Japanese product) from Amazon and got a package with random yellow pieces of gum included. Anyone know the difference from the original gum? I didn’t try translating the packaging before opening it (and ripping off half of the writing explaining the yellow pieces). 🤦‍♀️

got my inked up for my upcoming trip to eclipse totality zone. I'll be taking three pens with me, a Hong Dian In the Light of Hope <EF> pen inked up in Penbbs No. 95 purple, my TWSBI Go <EF> inked up with PenBBS No. 16 Green, and a TWSBI Vac700R inked up with PenBBS No. 114 Red.

Really trying to get this cheaper ink used up. Since I'll only be gone for a few days, I'm not going to worry about taking any ink bottles with me.

I watched a YT video from Chris Saenz where she mentioned a Platinum “Sugar Plum” ink. I didn’t think Platinum had inks named that, but I found this page which has a bunch of recipes for ink colors using their mixable inks, including a Sugar Plum. I may have to play around with this.

I know some people do not approve of the current Kaweco company's business practices. But I just saw an announcement from Galen Leather about a Kaweco Sport in Carmine, a transparent red (which I don't care as much about), and 16 different nib choices, including a really interesting one called a bilateral fude that's a fude on the front, and italic on the reverse. I basically want to buy one for the nibs they have.

@toga I contacted them to ask if I might be able to buy the nibs alone, as I don’t really need another Sport. I also asked if they’re a limited offering. They listed the person who worked on the nibs, so perhaps I might be able to contact them directly later and ask for work to be done on my existing nibs, or if I could buy them at a later date (really shouldn’t be picking up more stuff right now). 🤞

This is a real situation where an AI tool would be helpful to look across all my stupidly named folders and find actual dupe files (because to make things easier on past me, I just dumped backups willy nilly) and consolidate everything in an organized manner. I don’t care about making artificial looking art based on stolen images, or spamming awful-sounding articles to profit off of ad money. 😡
