All of a sudden the internet slowed down... but only on my laptop (and the tv). I checked the internet speed test on my phone and it's plenty fast. But on my laptop it's super slow. I tried changing DNS , but the speed is not improving. I disabled all bandwidth-hogging tasks via Task Manager, and it's still not improving. I wonder what could be the reason. A friend is blaming it on the geomagnetic storm.
To my fellow tooters who are also #LivingAlone, did you ever stop fearing ghosts? 🤣 I'm one month in and I still can't sleep properly unless music is playing to fill the silence lol
@teacherbuknoy We had the wake of my dead uncle in my grandma’s house. So many people and relatives came one night that all the rooms were full and I had nowhere to sleep, so I slept in my dead uncle's room, alone. I woke up the next morning without seeing his ghost. Sometimes, you just need to face your fears.
Crazy how there are Filipinos who still buy skin-whitening products. It's a level of racism that's just so sad because you're being racist against yourself
Brown people want to have white skin. Meanwhile, the white people want their skin to be brown. Can we please stop changing what we look like and just be our natural beautiful selves?
@eeyam As a Tagalog native speaker, I can tell the difference between the two Tagalog sentences. However, I cannot explain it properly like he can. Just goes to show that a native speaker (think English) does not necessarily make a good teacher.

I've checked the Security Bank app on the Google Play Store. It has a terrible rating at 1.4. Union Bank's is 4.6. My mom does more banking online than in person, so a good app UX is important.
I came across a revelation just now. Now that I'm living alone, I realized how much I enjoy actually cleaning. Cleaning dishes, the sink, brushing the toilet, brushing the bathroom floor, sweeping the entire apartment, wiping the windows… I love doing them, it turns out.
Maybe it's got something to do with feeling my stewardship of things that I own. Like, this place is mine. This is my home. I wonder how long this will last, but I will be capitalizing on it; my apartment is squeaky clean.
