The longest road¹ in Europe in is the Autostrada Adriatica in Italy, at 774 km. It goes from Bologna to Taranto, and avoids Rome as much as possible by going along the Adriatic Coast of Italy.

@amapanda @alfons234 the longest continuous cycle or footpath (regardless of name) would also be very interesting, although perhaps a bit harder to define for this purpose. (I'd say it should be car-free to qualify). The Moselle cycle route or Vennbahn route are both quite long for example, but I don't think they're uninterrupted.

Trick um Streetview rauszuhalten: Verkehrverbote mit Anlieger frei. In Freiburg stoppte Google dann Konsequent und im Gegensatz zu München haben sie keine Leute zu Fuß oder Fahrrad für diese Straßen.

Als ich Freitag in der Anfahrt auf den Zürcher Hauptbahnhof schaute, wann der nächste Bus zu meinen Freunden fährt, mal wieder schmerzlich dran erinnert worden, dass der ÖV in Zürich einfach um galaktische Größenordnungen besser ist als in deutschen Metropolen. An den äußeren Stadtrand fahren von HB wochentags alle 7 min Busse. Am Wochenende alle 10. dazu kommen noch Busse aus anderen Richtungen, weil der Nahverkehr ein echtes Netz bildet.

If you’re a Firefox user, and you don’t want to see the ”website is now full screen” popup notification every single time you switch a video to full screen, go to the about:config page and set full-screen-api.warning.timeout to 0 (zero).

@simevidas note that the warning is there to prevent websites from phishing users by faking the browser chrome in fullscreen mode. I'd recommend setting this to a low value.

Die Zahlen sprechen für sich, aber es gibt Alternativen, den Schulweg sicher und entspannt besser zu organisieren. Hier helfen zB Lauf- und Fahrrad-Gruppen weiter und natürlich der Schulbus ... und Eltern können sich durch gemeinsame Fahrgemeinschaften gegenseitig entlasten, Motto: Diese Woche bringt ihr die Kids in die Schule, nächste Woche wir. Auch dies vermindert die Belastung durch PKW-Verkehr im Schulumfeld.

So sieht es aus, wenn ein Auto auf unbeleuchteter Straße (erlaubte 100 km/h) in einen Misthaufen fährt, der dort nachts (!) ohne Markierung deponiert wurde. Mehrere Unfälle, mehrere Verletzte. TV-Interview: "Wir machen so weiter, bis Regierung zurücktritt".

Das sind keine Proteste, Demonstrationen oder Blockaden, das sind lebensgefährliche Anschläge auf Zivilisten zum Durchsetzen politischer Ziele. Wir sollten das hässliche Kind beim Namen nennen: Terrorismus.

@GerhardD @TheOneSwit @DerEchteGrimm das wäre offensichtlich genau so doof und trotzdem bleibe ich dabei, dass leute unangemessen auto fahren. die schuld allein jemand anderem zu geben ist so falsch, wie die klimademonstranten dafür verantwortlich zu machen, dass die rettungsgasse nicht gebildet wird oder jemand in ein stauende fährt.

@GerhardD @TheOneSwit @DerEchteGrimm natürlich sollte man die zur Verantwortung ziehen. Aber wenn dein Reaktionsvermögen so schlecht ist, dass du erst bei 30 ein Hindernis rechtzeitig erkennst, dann solltest du offensichtlich nur 30 Fahren, ja.

Und um es ganz deutlich zu sagen: Ich möchte diese Misthaufen-Aktion in keiner Weise befürworten und natürlich ist auch das nicht erlaubt. Das ist aber offensichtlich und unstrittig. Deshalb habe ich die leider viel zu oft außer Acht gelassene oder unter den Tisch geworfene Verantwortung von Autofahrern angesprochen.
