Waarom zoeken alle altijd naar ‘sterk gemotiveerde, talentvolle, … kandidaten’. Zijn er dan ook mensen die dat niet zijn? Stop met dat soort nietszeggend taalgebruik.

You wldnt imagine how difficult it is to find some one actually that is actually passionate about the craft the application is for ... - just saying in 99.9999% of the cases you receive applicants that only care about: how long do I have to be present and how much will you give me to be here.

The very very last concern is: what shld I do?

The 0.0001% are In reality a very rare commodity .

Het is toch wel ontroerend hoe het principe ‘iedereen verdient een 2de kans’ verdedigen. Behalve dan voor de burger die omwille van een vergetelheid, een administratieve fout, of gewoon pech, vaak niet moet rekenen op een 2de kans vanwege de overheid. In praktijk geldt die 2de kans die politici verdedigen vooral voor zichzelf.

Het grote probleem van ‘hoogbegaafdheid’ is de term . Ik heb vaak de indruk dat men deze kinderen beter kan helpen als men ze niet had genoemd. Meer en meer signalen dat de (aka aka ) zoals we dat kennen dood is. Ook binnen de opleidingen waarin ik les geef denken we erover na. In tijden van heeft het geen zin meer om een tekst te quoteren alsof het origineel werk van een student betreft.

Past days I have overheard 2 great minds, PhD 's ; professors in a mind-numbing Video-meeting about " What to do with the 40% of students not showing up for their presentation.

I am sorry, do you have to discuss this? - just fail them and done...

Sorry such discussions are a total waist of great minds...

However in this case, not showing up to deliver, faking a thought process,
the grading should be: Fail.

And considered plagiarism.

It's is an incredible fight to get actual content into any article. Borderline get a burnout fighting difficult to get an original twist or opinion or story published. ...

See it, for us as a world wide international chess game, that takes months to put in place .

‘Track hier je pakje’ heeft ook veel van z’n glamour verloren. Zelden is de status correct. ‘Geleverd’ wil tegenwoordig zeggen ‘wordt geleverd ergens tussen vandaag en volgende week’. Wat voor zin hebben die systemen als ze toch niet correct werken?

It can all be precise to the meter.
Both the " Van" and the hand held scanner have GPS -4G tracking now 🤣 .

Also a lot of drivers either do not ring OR 5 to 7 seconds between ringing and driving off🤔 As prooven by the many security camera videos we have of it 🤣🤣...

It looks and feels all more like a "façade" - it's an incredible irrational mess at this moment. 🤷🏽‍♂️ - we ll see.

De eerst les van dit nieuwe semester zit er ook weeral op. Ik blijf het geweldig vinden om les te kunnen geven voor gemotiveerde studenten, en als professor quasi zelf te kunnen kiezen wat je doceert en hoe je het doceert. Enkel de examens zijn een noodzakelijk kwaad dat we erbij moeten nemen.

It's not all higher education that is education.

I am 100% sure that there is a big amount of uni-students trotting along who would love to be a carpenter, butcher, Baker, etc etc... but aren't " allowed" to go for that... or young people that are simply a bit lost...

Ik vind het verbazend dat ‘kaartlezen en kompas gebruiken’ tegenwoordig wordt voorgesteld als een haast bovennatuurlijke vaardigheid waar je twintig doctoraten voor moet behaald hebben. Terwijl we dat vroeger als kind gewoon bij de scouts leerden en nadien perfectioneerden tijdens de legerdienst.

Particulary fun when you arrive to Texel from the South -> an Island - Military domain next to it -> nature reserve bellow and left and right and " tight " corridor to keep ( like flying in an imaginary tube), and sometimes a lot of cross wind above Ijselmeer

( pple with pilots-licence also private all passed that exam 🤣 - I still use it smtms for fun, gets realy fun in a 1930s open cockpit 🤣)

Wat blijkt na quotering van alle vragen op een schriftelijk examen? Dat een aantal studenten een perfecte 20/20 scoort. Als docent doet me dat oprecht plezier. In tegenstelling tot wat vele studenten denken willen we als docent studenten niet zoveel mogelijk buizen, we willen nét dat er zoveel mogelijk slagen met een mooie eindscore.

A question that deserves a nickname and go into history . Getting that one wld be like winning a prize and deserves a spot on their CV. 🤣
