I watched 's latest video and went on quite a bit about this gay youtuber who's plagiarised others, to the point it felt like the point of the video was just to take this one guy down.

It got very dull and repetitive. I'm sure much of it could have been skipped over and apparently there was more that didn't make it into the video.

The conclusion was: This youtuber stole from other queer voices. But this point was made several times in the video.

... By the last part of the video, it did feel like hbomb really wanted to make the video all about this one gay youtuber, but feared he might look a little bit bad just attacking this one guy.

So it's like he buried that guy's part to later in the video and opened the video with other (mostly more interesting) examples.

But this was similar to the technique used by the plagiarists, who'd bury citations in long lists so people wouldn't see how much they'd copied someone else's work. ...

... It's a good video, well researched, with perfectly valid criticisms.

But it does go on about this one guy far too long.

It definitely could have been edited down. The points could have been condensed. Some of them could have just been shown briefly, so anyone interested would have to pause the video to check.

And I felt when he said 'there's more that didn't make it into the video', there might have been some good bits missed out for the sake of repeating the same points.

I mean, I might have the tools at my fingertips to search for this myself but I'm just so lazy.

I've been incrementally watching 's new video and I want to read more book (or listen to them because I'm lazy)

do a range of books critiquing and they're pretty good.

But me want more.

When I'm watching TV or a movie I sometimes consider how ridiculous an actor's job is.

You know, if you think about it, what they're doing is pretty ridiculous, yet they pull off a great performance by having a conviction in what they're doing.

They're not allowed to go 'Wait a minute! What am I doing? This is stupid!' They have to pretend to be a space scientist or action hero or something and do it convincingly.

And that's quite impressive really.

Real conviction.
