If you want to know the main theme of this account ... I generally like to critique things. I usually critique art, books, TV, Movies, etc. And quite often I'm interested story structure and logic. I guess that's my USP or something.

I post either on the Fediverse or on my #PsychicDrool blog.

I love avant-garde stuff, love noisy music. I'm currently into John Coltrane. Got shit I've written on Smashwords.

There's lot of discussion about Threads.net and its impact on the fediverse. Here are two quick points I'd like to make in response to queries I've received.

  1. I'm aware that users are unable to post links to mas.to on Instagram. This may be due to website reputation rankings rather than any malfeasance on their part. Maybe!

  2. Some time ago we blocked Threads as a precautionary measure. We will monitor the situation and review as required.

Just as a reminder, Mastodon gives you the ability to block domains as well as people. If you see a post, and you decide you don't want to see anything from that domain (say, threads), you can click on the three dots on the post, and hit "Block domain <whatever>".

Very useful if, for example, you see a post by a troll, and realize that they are on an instance specifically for trolls...

@rticks Both the US and UK are captured by the rich and do as little as possible to improve our lives.

They like us to be as weak as possible financially such that we are as close to financial slavery as possible.

They use and magnify every weakness. This is why the US has no NHS and the UK NHS is being smashed.

The homeless are used as a psychological/visual warning. They use them like the cartels hang the bodies of their enemies in the streets to instil fear in everyone.

why doesn't voting stop fascism?

because fascism exists with or without your favourite "bad guy". fascism exists now, and electoralists are only running about screaming that the sky will fall if you don't vote (in November of next year, looking at you USA electoralists mainly), instead of doing something now to silence and beat down fascism.

maybe, if voting is your only solution to any problems, fascism isn't that big of a problem for you, and you're more comfortable with fascism as long as it doesn't say the quiet part out loud.

this is another description of white liberalism.

    I don't mean to alarm anyone, but the lorikeets have been assembling in the park all morning and afternoon, and are now in the phalanx formation and headed towards the city.

    They look fell. I fear they have risen up to storm the cities while we are weak and dispersed.
