@augieray just recovered from the flu after 6 days and it was awful, but I didn't even come close to worrying I might never wake up again like I did multiple times while I was sick with COVID over 2 full weeks last year. :blobnotlike:

Marketing is paying <company> for <product> and asks <IT> to implement.

<IT> asks what <product> does and why it's needed; <marketing> replies with buzzwords they don't understand.

When <IT> presses <Marketing> for answers, <Marketing> spouts buzzwords as though they're some jedi mind trick, clearly demonstrating they don't even know what they're asking for.

This would all be hilarious if we weren't ultimately responsible for implementing the request. :blobfacepalm:

Well, I don't like that, actually, but what I do like about it is how it makes me realize that I have trapped this NPC merchant in a bargain for all of her coin and left her waiting on me for what has been at least 12 in game days now while I had conversations with friends in the IRL dimension :bloblaugh:

I'm a prison abolitionist so I have some weird mixed feelings about this. I want to celebrate a fascist taken literally off the streets, but all I can think of is how much better connected, harder, and more traumatized this asshole is going to be when he gets out.

    @KI5SMN That migrates followers, but not posts, which it seems is what @josh is looking for.

    I'm not familiar with a post migration tool- I think most folks just pick and choose things they liked from past accounts and re-post them. You'd loose all the old associations (replies, favs, etc) if you tried to move the original post anyway :blobcatgooglyshrug:

    We're growing rapidly, as is the fediverse right now with Twitter continuing its death march. Our little instance usually processes around 600,000 messages per day (up from ~300,000 last year) but since the start of July we've averaged over 1 million messages daily. :blobeyes:

    Our instance is assigned a much higher number of threads than is strictly necessary, which is why slowness on the instance has been brief during this influx. :blobsmilehappyeyes:
