Cannot believe I've been married to this guy, whats-his-face, for (math face) FIFTEEN OF THE LONGEST YEARS OF MY LIFE. Today. This day. My anniversary, May 16, which OF COURSE I know and totally REMEMBERED.

(did not remember, never remember, just buy six gifts in October and hand them out arbitrarily, unwrapped when the gift giving occasion pops up)

I know it sounds... weird, but slices of apple crunched over a period of time will help.
I think it's something chemical with the sugars?

Honey is also really good for longterm energy. Something in the way your body breaks it down is hard so the sugar lasts longer?

I'm having coffee at this little coffee place and the music is super chill and soothing. It's sort of yin and yang-ish with the music and the caffeine thing creating a cool and calming balance. Ahhhh

What advice would you give to someone just starting out in a relationship?

Mine might sound kind of dark in relation to the question, but here goes:

People change, and they should, it's part of being a person. Some people are lucky, and they change in the same direction, but some don't, and that's okay too. There's no shame in leaving a relationship or changing the nature of a relationship that no longer serves you. We are all taught that every relationship, whether romantic or friendship, is supposed to last forever, but nothing is forever, and forcing something that no longer works, just ends in anger and bitterness. Knowing when to let go is as important as knowing when to hold on through a rough patch, and how to know either of those things is the most cliché advice of all, COMMUNICATE.

@RickiTarr I feel like perhaps I took this question larger than was intended and for that, I apologize.

When you said relationship - I immediately went into the realm of "intimate" but not necessarily sexually. A close friend, a "ride or die" companion, but not particularly a lover. Obviously it could be - but... yeah.

The advice I would give someone just starting to know someone is being authentic and expect the same. We live in a world of rationalization, justification and daily aggressors. We need to be authentic with each other if we are to be more than casually acquainted.

You shouldn't expected to know their deep dark secrets, but I think it is fair to want to understand someone and desire that level of intimacy with someone close.

Similar to the religious groups that say "If there is no God, why aren't you killing and raping people?" without realizing what that says about them.

By muppet bus, I mean a bus attended primarily by muppets.

The bus itself could be relatively common, however it will need to accommodate numerous individuals who experience muppety behaviors, ideas and mannerisms.

I just thought they were a fun way to add a touch of lightheartedness or way to convey mild emotion. Like, in this case I would use giggle or something to show... hey I'm not a robot, I'm a regular person I just use more words than necessary and tend to fractionalize things...

and now I would use nervous because the above makes me sound atypical.

Good time of the day to you, Fediverse! How are things?

Today has already been a day of contemplation and prep for action. I woke earlier with an agenda rolling through my mind, a timeline seeking finalization and a drive to finish this first draft! That last task might have an addendum (for the love of God!) :blobcatgiggle:

The weather is warm but in a good way? The kind of warmth that feels like a warm embrace or a kind shoulder to sob into. Not the oppressive and angry heat that will come later.

One thing I really enjoy about Fedi is the imagined relationships I have with people (not like that). The imagined alliances (ride together, die together). The imagined feuds (you have unfollowed me now prepare to face your doom). There are people I get mixed up, including two guys in particular - one who's very gentle and sweet and one who posts stuff like "FUCKING, gonna go out and punch a fuckn.... baby, grr, bloody... bastard" (sorry I couldn't think of anything they might actually say so did my best approximation). In reality it's just people, bored, saying "I had a sandwich" then there's some berk (me) on the other side of the planet going "YES! I eat sandwiches too! We are now brethren! Let us go into battle together". I wonder if I might spend too much time on social media.

There was an old internet game, years ago, where you would take a movie or video game troupe and assign your contact list to it. Beige has done something similar in the past but I think it would be fun to try as individuals.

Ben is the host, he should be driving this Muppet bus or flowing through the crowd making sure we are all having a good time or at the very least, being consensual and friendly with biting.

I just found out indoor skydiving is a thing and exists and I am physically able to participate if I enter the building.

I am not exactly sure how I feel about this information yet. Do I know anyone that has done this?

Have you done this? Will you tell me about it? Am I doing it?
